Resilience Demo Weekend

A new homeless shelter and wellness centre is opening up a stone’s throw from Cabot Square, but we need the community’s support to get off the ground!

This Saturday & Sunday, we are asking anybody able and willing to dedicate some of their time to this project to come by and lend a hand. We need skilled labor (general contractors, painters, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, handy people, etc.) but also anybody capable of lifting and cleaning! We’ll be hard at work from 10am to 6pm, but don’t feel like you need to stay the whole time. Whether just a a few hours or the whole weekend, we could really use your help. If you have painting supplies (clean rollers as well as poles, especially tall ones!) or are a contractor with their own tools, please bring them with you!

Coffee, snacks, and a pizza lunch will be provided.

Please wear work clothes and come prepared to sweat and get a little dusty!

Email resilience.montreal@gmail.com with any questions, or if you have any special skills you’ll be able to contribute to the project. If you are a skilled laborer who is unable to come this weekend, please still contact us! There will be more work to do after Sunday, and we would still absolutely love to have you on the team.
